Florida is a wonderful place to spend a vacation no matter what time of the year it is.  The summers are extremely warm and humid whereas the winters have a more cooler climate that sits around the 70’s throughout the day.

However you want to spend your vacation, Florida offers numerous options for those who are looking to get away for a little bit.  From warm, exotic beaches to the happiest place on earth in Disney World, you’ll have memories that last a lifetime when you decide to spend your time in Florida for your next vacation.

Here are just a few things that you can do when taking a trip to Florida:


This might be the main reason why people take a trip to Florida.  They want to experience the happiest place on earth and enjoy the magic that fills the theme park’s in Orlando, Florida.

Disney World is great for families of all ages as it has enough entertainment for both little ones and adults. If you want to spend your day away from the theme parks, you can always find a spot at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, which are both unique water parks.  A family can spend all day at one of these parks because there are so many different water activities for parents and kids of all ages.  At these two parks you can let loose and enjoy the various water slides and activities.

South Beach

Down south is where you will see the culture of what Miami is all about.  The south beach area of Miami is full of diverse people who come from different backgrounds.  It’s a melting pot of Latino’s, Cubans, Hispanics and people of the LGBTQ community.  This place is friendly and welcoming of all types of people as it is one of the most progressive areas throughout all of Florida.

Aside from it’s diverse culture, the beaches is also what draws people in from different parts of the world.  The average temperature throughout the whole year is anywhere between 75-85 degrees, even during the “winter” months.  People love to get away during the winter and spend their time in a warm climate with beautiful warm beaches to choose from.

Thanks to who recommended Lummus Park as a place to visit in the South Beach area.  Lummus Park has wonderful ocean water that is perfect for swimming and snorkeling.  The warm white sand is excellent for those who want to lay out and catch some rays to darken their tan.  The park also has pull up bars, volleyball courts and bike paths along the beach for those who are interested in staying active while spending a day at the beach.

Florida Keys

If you want to go tropical, then the Florida Keys are where you need to spend your next vacation.  The keys are known for it’s warm climate year round, exotic wildlife, outgoing atmosphere, and beaches that never end.

This place is great for those who want to sit back and relax as well as those who would like to have a little fun at night.  Majority of people spend their time in Key West because it has some of the best beaches along with the most notable architecture and historic buildings.

In Key West, you can choose from a list of outdoor activities like snorkeling, mountain biking, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing and even taking a boat out for whale watching that you’ll never forget.  Key West also has popular bars and restaurants that make for a fun night out with friends.

Universal Studios

Universal Studios has been around for 25 years that consist of eight different theme parks that are filled with different rides, attractions and shows that provide enough to see and do for a least a few days.

Some of the most popular rides are the Amazing Spiderman, Harry Potter and the escape from Gringotts, and E.T. Adventure.  Universal Studios was created for pretty much anyone who loves Harry Potter.   Here you can visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and learn how to ride a broom, cast a spell, take stroll down Diagon Alley, and even attend a class at Hogwarts.

pike place fish marketSeattle is Washington State’s most populated city and is located on the Puget Sound and is centered around water, mountains, park-lands and a dense forest.  Seattle is home to over 550,000 residents and is the northern most populated city in the Northern Hemisphere.  An oceanic climate makes for cold and wet winters with a somewhat dry, cool summer.  Seattle is a favorite for tourists to visit throughout the year because of the city life and it’s worldly attractions.  Here is a short list of things you should do while spending time in Seattle.

Space Needle

The space needle is an icon of Seattle and the most popular landmark in the Northwest.  The observation tower was built in 1962 and has drawn over 2.3 million visitors.  You can take the elevator to the top of the needle to a 360 degree observation deck that overlooks all of Seattle and the Puget Sound at 520ft above ground.  Just below the deck is a revolving restaurant known as SkyCity, which is was named 2009 Restaurant of the Year by Washington Wine Committee, and “Best View” by Where Magazine’s Visitors Choice Dining Awards.

Pike Place Fish Market

If you have a thing for flying fish, then you need to spend some time at Pike Place Fish Market. This world famous fish market is located in the heart of the pike place market and sits right off of Elliot Bay.  If you’re hungry, you can get some of the best seafood as they are known for fresh wild Alaskan king Salmon, wild Alaskan Halibut, Alaskan king crab legs, and whole cooked dungeness crab.

Be The 12th Man

Seattle is known for their professional sports teams; The Seattle Mariners in baseball and the Seattle Seahawks in football.  While catching a baseball game at SafeCo field is fun, nothing compares to the fan experience at CenturyLink Field.  You can be apart of the 12th man, as the fans are considered some of the loudest, craziest, die hard football fans in the entire NFL.  Go ahead and paint your face, spray paint your hair and rev up those vocal cords for 4 hours of entertainment and a football game that you will never forget.
